SonarTV at Blissfields 2012

SonarTV were invited to head on up the M3 to Winchester for a weekend of fun, festivities and filming at Blissfields, a Hampshire based music festival. Station Manager Rowan Johnson and Assistant Station Manager Graham Fitzgerald were on site all weekend covering the goings on around the festival for your viewing pleasure.

The Solent SU Societies and Volunteering Awards 2012

On Wednesday May 23rd 2012 Southampton Solent Students’ Union held the first annual Societies and Volunteering Awards at the Mo Club to celebrate the great work and achievement that students at Southampton Solent University donate their time and effort into.

Solent Society and Volunteering Awards 2012 – LIVE!

For the first time Solent Student’s Union will be holding Society and Volunteering awards to celebrate the hard work that students have been doing over the past year. Following our success streaming the Students’ Union elections, SonarTV have been invited to provide an online live broadcast of the awards night. So for those of you who can’t make it down to the Mo’ Club, head here at 8PM on Wednesday 23rd May to watch the full thing as and when it happens. Sonar Media Big Fat Quiz – Thursday 3rd May 2012

SonarTV to donate to Cancer Research UK for RAG Week

It is my pleasure to announce that SonarTV will be donating to Cancer Research UK during the SU’s RAG Week. We will be planning a number of events to fundraise money for the charity, and will be donating it all at the end of the week. You’ll be able to donate both online and off, so keep an eye out for us over the week.

Network TV Talent Scheme Guest Talk

Justine Tatt from the Network TV Talent Scheme will be giving us a guest talk today (Tuesday 13th March) in HC103.

The Network is a unique career development scheme for people who want to work in TV. It is a 4 day programme of FREE workshops, masterclasses, networking opportunities and career advice which runs alongside the Edinburgh International Television Festival in Edinburgh at the end of August. Solent SU Election Results – SonarTV Coverage (This Thursday)

Solent SU Elections

This Thursday evening, at 7pm, the Results of the Solent SU Elections are being revealed in the Bottom Bar of the SU. Can’t get to the Bottom Bar? No problem! We’re going to be doing a live stream of the event right here on SonarTV.co.uk This is a first for the society, and is an exciting step forwards for SonarTV.

Voting for the elections is still open, with voting closing at 4pm on Thursday. If you have not already voted, please do. The elected candidates will be the face and voice of Solent students for the next year, and who you elect will have a big impact on your lives at university.
